This is a simple walnut tray and his name is KLAUS. He can be used as a desk organizer, as a little tray for food stuffs, or as a spot to showcase precious items. These little guys are milled and finished one at a time at my shop in Fort Worth Texas.
You will see a lot of natural variation in the walnut I use. It can be light and dark or sometimes redder or sometimes browner. I really love that - I always try to find the best parts of the wood to bring out, which can also include natural “defects” like minor knots.
Klaus has a finished with walnut oil and is 100% food safe, if you're into that. He has little cork feet.
